Where memories are made

A wonderful venue for a special event

Whether it’s just the two of you or a large group, Rarotonga is easy, relaxing, fun and has a huge variety of accommodation and things to do.

As well as exquisite beauty, year round warm temperatures, white sand and blue lagoons, Rarotonga has a major point of difference from other South Pacific destinations - quick and easy access.

Fly direct from Auckland and in less than 4 hours you can be immersed in the postcard picture perfection of tropical palm trees, white sand and a turquoise lagoon. The water is warm and crystal clear, the fragrance of frangipani is everywhere - and your accommodation is likely to be just a few steps away from the water’s edge.

From romance and relaxation, to action and adventure, fine dining, arts and culture, there is something here for every occasion, every group, and every budget.

And because Rarotonga has such a variety of things to do, including snorkeling, diving, fishing, lagoon cruises or just laying in a hammock, groups of people can all choose their favourite activity – one size doesn’t have to fit all. At the end of the day, everyone can come together for a well earned cocktail and share their adventures.

The islands that cater for everyone

The resorts and hotels on the island have a reputation for being specialists in organising everything for you – from tropical beach parties to intimate dinners for just you and your partner.

The Cook Islands are a destination that lends itself to celebrations – casual, carefree or five star fabulous events.

Look through the various accommodation options and you’ll see that some resorts are adults only (often only accepting children over 12 or 16 years). Others are family friendly resorts, offering Kids Clubs, sports areas and one and two bedroom villas.

As with most things on Rarotonga, Aitutaki and the other Cook Islands, flexibility is the key – and the islands cater to everyone!

Mix it at the markets with the locals

The Punanga Nui markets are buzzing on a Saturday - experience some of the local seasonal produce, buy a few local crafts and enjoy the dance and music.
